Making a claim
When you contact our claims team or fill out the online claim form you will be asked for the following information:-
- Customer name, address and postcode
- Your daytime contact telephone number and email address
- The vehicle registration
- Details of the issue
- Upload the repair quote if this has been obtained
If the repair is covered by the agreement, we will authorise the repair and confirm our liability. We will then issue a confirmation form. Authorisation is valid for 3 months after repair authority is given.
Please note: All repairs must be authorised by us prior to being carried out. Any repairs carried out without our authorisation cannot be reimbursed.

We recommend returning to the dealer you purchased the vehicle from to diagnose the issue. If they don’t have repair facilities, you could try the Good Garage Scheme
You can opt to use a main dealer or a repairer/garage which isn't approved by us, but they may ask you to pay for the repair costs up front. This means you’ll then need to claim back any costs afterwards. It may also cost you more due to higher labour rates or use of original manufactured parts. Please check your terms and conditions for more information on parts, labour, and diagnostics.
To start a claim, your repairer will need the following:
- Your vehicle registration number
- Your full name, address and postcode (as it appears on your plan)
- For some schemes, you may also need to provide the vehicle's service history
That depends on your cover level. For example, some 2020 warranties don’t cover costs likes diagnostics. Please check your terms and conditions to see what you’re covered for.
It also depends on which repairer you take your vehicle to. If you don’t take your car to a main dealer, you may also be responsible for some aspects of the parts and labour costs. Again, please check your terms and conditions for more information.
If the claim has been submitted by your selling dealer or the repairing Garage, they will normally invoice us directly. This happens as soon as the repair has been completed. If we are in receipt of the invoice by Tuesday, we will pay on the Friday of that week.
If you’re using a main dealer or your own garage, they may ask you to pay for the repair costs upfront. You would then need to claim this back from us afterwards. The same payment process applies.
